Need to Downgrade Windows 10 Pro? We Show You How

Windows 10 Pro is Windows’ latest operating system. However, Windows 10 Home is the version for most people because it comes with a lot of features to make Windows easier and more convenient to use. Windows 10 Home also has better security, so if you’re worried about your privacy or security there’s no need to worry! This blog post will show you how to downgrade Windows 10 Pro back to Windows 10 Home.

Gide how Downgrade Windows 10 Pro

First, you’ll need to download Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft’s website. This is a program that will allow you to create an installation media for Windows. Open the tool and click on “Create installation media for another PC.”

Then select “Downgrade this PC” and choose your language and edition of Windows. Make sure you select the same bitness (32 or 64) as your current operating system. Click Next.

The next step is to choose which type of media you want to use: USB flash drive or DVD/Blu-ray disc. If you’re using a USB flash drive, make sure it has at least 16GB of storage space available. Select the option that best your needs and then clic OKk. Insert your USB flash drive or insert a blank DVD/Blu-ray disc and Windows Media Creation Tool will download the files necessary to create Windows installation media for you.

Once this is finished, Windows Media Creation tool will automatically launch the setup wizard that lets you install Windows on another PC using this media. At any time during these steps, click “Create ISO file” if you want to make an .iso image of the Windows setup files instead.

Microsoft’s website also provides two other options: Reset my PC which reinstalls Windows but keeps most of your personal data intact (the apps installed from the Store are not preserved) and Remove everything which formats your hard drive before installing Windows again.

This option deletes all existing partitions or drives Windows is installed on.

If you just want to go back to Windows Home, the process is very simple. Just open Settings > Update & security and click on “Go back to Windows Home” in the Recovery section. Microsoft will ask you why you’re leaving Windows Pro and give you a few options such as not being able to use certain features or that your company requires Windows Pro.

The most likely reason for wanting to downgrade from Windows Pro to Windows Home is because the latter is more affordable. If this is your case, keep in mind that downgrading comes with some risks so make sure you backup all your important files before starting the process.
